Control over the flow of night and day is difficult beyond anything else you will attempt during studies of the arcane arts. Even with the requisite knowledge this task is impossible without a precise set of ingredients.

To be successful you will need a magical orb to stand for each point in the day and night cycle. These are an orb of daybreak, an orb of dusk, and an orb of midnight.

It will take a fair bit of dedication to obtain the orbs. You must battle against foes who present you with a challenge, and hope that the gods smile upon you. If they find your efforts pleasing, they will send a spirit to assist you. Be aware that the gods have no patience with those who waste their time, and it would be wise to kill the spirit as quickly as you can. If you are victorious, they will show their appreciation by gifting you with one of the orbs.

It has been observed that certain foes seem to be the ones who can channel these spirits:

The gnolls in Blackburrow

Certain vulfweres and cecuvians

Some lake water goblins

Gnolls attracted to the snow

Giants and Dragons in their very homes

Despised ratmen who lurk underground
