Find Coordinator Njorl (Thurgadin  at -183.48, 525.44  • Western area of the city) .

Coordinator Njorl says, 'Welcome back, Hunter <Player Name>! At it again, are you?'

You say, 'Show me the Third Rank bounties.'

You say, 'Show me [Deepest Fiend].'

The poster reads: "My organization finds itself in a desperate situation. For reasons that will be of no concern to you, we are bound, in a certain sense, to the vile depths of the Ruins of the First City. We are intensely aware of the potential dangers it poses to us, being exposed to it in the manner that we are. We have taken monitored it closely, but so far the danger has been kept in check. Until now, that is. Recently a particularly pernicious and malevolent energy has been detected radiating quite strongly from the first chambers of the Ruins. This energy has been disrupting our... equipment. We believe some kind of change in the deepfiends often found there is to blame. We would attept  [sic] to quell this problem ourselves, but are occupied by other matters of late. If you will take it upon yourself to deal with this quickly and discreetly, we will gladly pay you for your efforts." This is an expert Private bounty.

Coordinator Njorl says, 'Good luck, Hunter <Player Name>. If you need assistance getting to the bounty location, show this bounty request to the contracted wizard.'

Coordinator Njorl stamps a bounty request sheet and hands it to you.

Journal Text: [Deepest Fiend] - Third Rank: I accepted the bounty to deal with some kind of cryptic problem related to the deepfiends of First Ruins.

Note: A contracted wizard will port you to Mistwoods if needed for this bounty.

Find and kill a deepfiend until a presence ([[]]  •) spawns.

a presence edges into view.

Note: It will not aggro and must be hailed within five minutes to continue.

You say, 'Hail, a presence.'

a presence shuffles.

You say, 'What's this..?'

You feel as though a veil has been thrown over you, stifling your senses and setting you on edge...

A thick mist gathers in the distance and an enormous form manifests out of it.

Note: a deepest fiend will mental strike and summon imps, a fiendling, on top of players that are rooted in place. If a player remains on an imp they will take ~350 damage quickly. a deepest fiend also has an AE (seems to be a frontal), "The fiend's glare tears at your soul. You have taken 2.5k - 3.1k points of damage." I assume this hits for a % of your HP, so it will hit harder the more HP you have.

Kill a deepest fiend (unknown zone  • unknown loc) .
