Disease DMG

Overview

Disease damage is a special damage modifier that appears on equipment.

Effect on Weapon Damage

When on a weapon, the disease damage stat is added to that weapon's ratio. This added damage from disease ignores AC but can be mitigated by mob resistance to disease. As a result, in general this added damage is applied only part of the time (depending on how strongly the mob mitigates disease). Disease damage on other gear does not effect weapon damage.

Effect on Spell Damage

Disease damage on any piece of equipment (except when worn in an ammo slot) is added to all magic-based spells which cost more than 5 mana and are at most 15 levels below your character's level. For rain spells damage is split across each wave, for damage over time spells the damage is split between each tick.
