Walkthrough

Find Caretaker Kolsaz (Dreadlands  at 1038, 9258, 1068  • Refuge) .

Note: Dialog is a continuation from the A Slave's Best Friend quest.

You say, 'The sickness? I'll gladly help there.'

Caretaker Kolsaz sighs. 'Well... I really thought I was on to something with those Icethistle Ferns. But we saw how much healing those do... but I haven't given up yet. The Kaezulian troops often train in these mountains, and I've yet to see one of them get sick. I think it has to do with the chemicals they are exposed to in the Citadel while they train. I'm not going to ask you to break in there, but I will ask you get near it. They do some... twisted... experiments in that Citadel <Player Name>, and when those experiments fail, they just toss them out into the wastes. Find these experiments, and bring me any residue you find on them. I think the answer we seek will be found there. Ten samples should be enough.'

Journal Text: Kolsaz is very disappointed the Ferns were a dead end. He believes a key to curing everyone can be found on the experiments. He has asked that I retrieve 10 residue samples from the failed experiments outside the Citadel.
